Job Description

Andersen is hiring a BMC Helix ITSM Engineer for a project supporting and improving enterprise ITSM platforms and operational processes. The customer is a global organization operating in the professional services domain. It provides a range of advisory and analytical support to organizations across multiple industries, helping them improve business performance and address complex operational challenges. The company leverages data, industry knowledge, and digital tools to deliver practical solutions, supporting decision-making, organizational development, and long-term efficiency. The project is focused on supporting and continuously improving an existing BMC Helix ITSM environment following a recent ITSM transformation. It includes maintaining business-as-usual operations, implementing enhancements, and optimizing platform functionality within a customized enterprise setup.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing L3 / technical support for BMC Helix during ongoing operations and enhancement projects
  • Configuring and developing within BMC Helix ITSM, Knowledge and Digital Workplace, including building and refining workflows to automate ITSM processes and simplify steps
  • Working in Innovation Studio to deliver and maintain functional change
  • Contributing to project work — notably improving the integration between BMC Helix and the contracting / billing system, and supporting the adoption of BMC's AI capabilities
  • Building and maintaining REST-based integrations with third-party systems
  • Gathering requirements from functional and process owners through working sessions
  • Performing administration tasks, including onboarding of users into BMC Helix
  • Supporting documentation of technical designs and solutions

Requirements

  • Solid hands-on experience supporting and developing BMC Helix ITSM (and ideally Digital Workplace) in a customer-focused organisation for 5+ years
  • Practical experience across the BMC Helix development life cycle, including Innovation Studio
  • Experience building workflows and automations within BMC Helix
  • Experience integrating BMC with external systems via REST for data ingress / egress
  • Ability to ramp up quickly in a customised, non-OOTB environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, and to drive continuous improvement
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above

Nice to have

  • BMC Helix Discovery and/or CMDB experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies
  • experience integrating with Azure DevOps
  • BMC Helix and/or ITIL certifications
  • Exposure to BMC's AI capabilities
  • Some experience of the insurance industry or other regulated environments
