The Blown Film Operator is a skilled manufacturing professional responsible for operating and managing Blown Line equipment to ensure efficient production, quality standards, and timely delivery of customer orders. This role combines technical expertise with leadership qualities to maintain optimal production conditions while promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. This position will work a 12hr night shift (7pm - 7am) on a 2/2/3 schedule.
Job Responsibility:
Operate Blown Film Line equipment to meet production schedules and customer requirements
Collaborate with plant leadership to drive results in the key metrics of safety, waste, productivity and quality
Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues
Execute machine adjustments to maintain product specifications
Perform regular equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
Monitor and maintain product quality according to established standards
Coordinate the efficient execution of all changeovers, weekly PMs, and scheduled PM production activities
Champion workplace safety initiatives and protocols
Promote and maintain a safety-first culture
Serve as a resource regarding PRISM shop floor transaction information
Act as a change agent in developing a positive culture focused on continuous improvement
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Make informed decisions regarding production issues
Evaluate and prioritize operational needs
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Stable work history
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Basic computer proficiency including email
Ability to accurately read and use measuring tools
Self-directed and task-oriented with the ability to multitask
Problem-solving capabilities
Strong attention to detail
Good organizational skills
Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
Good communication skills
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must pass pre-employment assessments

Basic understanding of blown film processes and equipment
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
Understanding of quality control standards
Knowledge of PRISM or similar manufacturing software systems
