Job Description

Play a hands-on role in delivering high quality blended protein products. The Blending Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment used to load, unload, and blend products while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-functioning production environment. This role supports daily production operations by ensuring materials are handled properly, equipment is maintained, and quality and safety standards are consistently met. The Blending Operator is a key contributor to smooth operations and reliable product output across the facility.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate blending production equipment
  • Operate the panel control system
  • Operate powered industrial mobile equipment and perform routine inspections and maintenance
  • Operate all transfer and loadout equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance as required
  • Assist maintenance associates as directed during equipment repairs
  • Perform clean-up and house cleaning as directed within assigned areas
  • Perform all work within the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0 to 3 years of related experience
  • Ability to load and unload materials up to 100 pounds
  • Able to move freely throughout the facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 180'), carrying tools and equipment (0-100 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db-hearing protection required), and chemicals (MSDS sheets available)
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus

  • Clearly and accurately complete the handover of work for each shift
  • Transfer the base oil from storage tank terminal or tank trucks to raw material tank
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other transportation tools to ensure the normal operation of production
  • Collect data and accurately record it on batch cards, while maintaining proper archiving of records
  • Participate in on-site audits and monitoring related to quality and safety
  • Be responsible for quality control during the production process, and immediately stop production and report to the supervisor (team leader) in case of quality issues
