Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Rule Writer to design, develop, and maintain complex business rules and decision logic using FICO Blaze Advisor Business Rules Management System (BRMS). The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts and IT teams to automate decision-making processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business policies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Rule Development: Translate business requirements into executable rules using the Blaze Advisor platform's tools, which include decision tables, decision trees, rule flows, and Structured Rules Language (SRL)
  • Testing and Validation: Create and manage test cases to perform unit and system testing, troubleshoot rule logic issues, and ensure that deployed solutions meet performance and compliance standards
  • Documentation and Governance: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, manage version control, and ensure all changes adhere to governance and audit standards
  • Deployment and Support: Participate in the installation, configuration, and deployment of rule services into various environments (development, testing, production), and provide ongoing support and performance optimization

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing FICO Blaze Advisor business rules applications
  • Strong knowledge of Blaze Structured Rule Language (SRL) and Rule Maintenance Application (RMA)
  • Experience with decision modeling and rule authoring tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex business problems into logical, automated decision solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical IT teams and non-technical business users/stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience with version control systems
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • FICO Blaze or other BRMS certifications are advantageous
