We currently have a Fixed Term vacancy covering maternity leave for a forward thinking, dynamic and compassionate senior registered nurse. This role is working 18.75 hours per week. Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills and be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of personalised care plans, to ensure high quality care is given as well as provide a high standard of general nursing care to all patients, ensuring that they are treated with dignity and respect while promoting a safe environment.
Job Responsibility:
To have continuing responsibility for the maintenance of a high standard of care to the patients and carers on the DN caseload
To contribute to the continuing responsibility/management of the caseload, DN team and related resources
To contribute to strategies and policies for DN service improvement and development
To take an active role in the delivery of Public Health agenda
To perform as an autonomous practitioner, managing a specific clinical caseload in the expert assessment and treatment of patients with complex bladder and bowel continence dysfunction
To practice advanced clinical reasoning skills to determine clinical diagnosis, prognosis and ongoing management and maintain records
To provide clinical leadership in education, training and specialist policies and procedures for the organisation and the specialist service
To be responsible for continuing the development of clinical practice and expertise within the specialist service, contributing to service development and the implementation of specific changes to clinical practice and service protocols, making a professional contribution to the work of a multi-disciplinary team
Line management and development of clinical staff within the specialist service
To be involved with service evaluation, research and audit
Requirements:
Registered Nurse / Level 1 on the NMC register
2 years community experience
Up to date general clinical knowledge
Current knowledge of local, regional and national policies
Evidence of continuous professional development
Effective communication skills, verbal and non-verbal
Able to record accurately, clearly, and concisely
Involvement in research and audit
Ability to work as an autonomous practitioner
Evidence of working with external agencies and networking skills
Teaching experience
Basic IT skills
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to work in a variety of settings
Good time management skills
Flexibility to fit in with the needs of the service
Able to work under pressure
To work effectively as part of a team
Experience of team working and caseload management
Evidence of good interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work within a culturally diverse population
All appointments are subject to satisfactory occupational health clearance
Car driver/owner in possession of current full driving licence.
