Job Responsibility

  • Prepare, cook, and present food items according to IKEA standards
  • Provide warm, efficient, and friendly service to customers in all IKEA Food areas
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout the day
  • Keep all food production, service, and dining areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Follow all IKEA food safety, sanitation, and waste-reduction policies and procedures
  • Support customers by answering questions about menu items, ingredients, and Swedish Food Market products
  • Work collaboratively with the team, especially during peak periods, to ensure smooth operations
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of IKEA's Swedish food offerings, daily specials, and preparation guidelines
  • Support department goals by contributing to daily/weekly sales and waste targets

Requirements

  • Hands-on cooking or food-prep experience
  • Comfortable serving food and engaging directly with customers
  • Understands basic food safety principles including hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, temperature control, and expiry management (SafeCheck/FOODSAFE knowledge is an asset)
  • Thrives in fast-paced, physically demanding environments
  • Confident with multitasking—food prep, cleaning, service, and restocking
