Job Description:

Are you a Biomedical Scientist or Associate Practitioner with experience in Histology seeking a rewarding locum opportunity in Essex? We have an exciting Band 4/5 role offering competitive pay and flexibility!

Job Responsibility:

Assisting with or performing tissue processing, embedding, and microtomy
Using staining techniques (manual or automated) and microscopy for sample assessment
Supporting the lab in maintaining compliance with protocols and quality assurance
Working alongside Biomedical Scientists and Pathologists to ensure accurate results
Maintaining high standards of laboratory practice

Requirements:

HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist (for Band 5 applicants)
Relevant experience in an NHS Histology setting (Band 4 or 5)
Competence in microtomy and tissue preparation techniques
Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
Full-time availability (we are unable to provide sponsorship)
