Job Description:

Are you a Biomedical Scientist or Associate Practitioner with experience in Histology seeking a rewarding locum opportunity in Essex? We have an exciting Band 4/5 role offering competitive pay and flexibility!

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting with or performing tissue processing, embedding, and microtomy
  • Using staining techniques (manual or automated) and microscopy for sample assessment
  • Supporting the lab in maintaining compliance with protocols and quality assurance
  • Working alongside Biomedical Scientists and Pathologists to ensure accurate results
  • Maintaining high standards of laboratory practice

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist (for Band 5 applicants)
  • Relevant experience in an NHS Histology setting (Band 4 or 5)
  • Competence in microtomy and tissue preparation techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Full-time availability (we are unable to provide sponsorship)
