We are excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist to join the Microbiology Department at a renowned private healthcare organisation in the heart of Central London. Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct routine and specialist diagnostic microbiology tests, including bacteriology, virology, parasitology, and mycology
  • Process a wide variety of clinical samples accurately and efficiently
  • Operate and maintain a range of microbiological laboratory equipment after competency training
  • Participate actively in internal and external quality assurance schemes
  • Support stock control, equipment evaluations, and method development initiatives
  • Adhere to laboratory policies, procedures, and UKAS accreditation requirements
  • Work collaboratively with senior biomedical scientists and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

  • HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist (Microbiology discipline)
  • Demonstrable post-registration experience in a UKAS-accredited Microbiology laboratory
  • Strong technical skills in clinical bacteriology, virology, or related disciplines
  • Experience using LIMS systems and handling sensitive patient data
