Job Description:

Piper Companies is currently seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to support installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment working for a reputable Healthcare Institution in Philadelphia, PA.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex biomedical equipment (anesthesia machines and ventilators, etc)
  • Coordinate with other departments and vendors for troubleshooting and installations
  • Ensure and verify that medical equipment is operating according to manufacturer’s standards
  • Maintain proper work document

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Biomedical or Electronics Technology or related field
  • IT certification, such as networking or A++ required

  • Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
