This is an entry-level Biomedical Engineer role supporting the repair and maintenance of medical equipment across Western Health sites. The position offers hands-on technical experience, exposure to clinical environments, and opportunities for skill development under senior supervision, with a strong focus on compliance and safety standards.
Job Responsibility:
Perform maintenance and repair of infusion devices and other biomedical equipment across all Western Health sites
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance with AS/NZS 3551 and manufacturer guidelines
Support equipment commissioning, testing, and asset management activities
Maintain accurate service records and update work orders in the asset management system
Requirements:
Degree in Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with healthcare standards
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a clinical environment
