Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific biomedical projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards
  • Analyze project data, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure medical equipment compliance with regulatory standards
  • Design and develop biomedical equipment and technology, ensuring project objectives meet industry standards
  • Coordinate with medical equipment vendors and departments (CE, IT, Operations, Nursing) for the deployment of hospital-wide patient monitoring and nurse call systems
  • Attend project meetings for effective communication and coordination, addressing issues promptly to maintain progress
  • Develop and execute project plans to meet overall project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones
  • Conduct technical reviews of plans in data closets and patient areas to oversee the transition of medical devices and data networks
  • Maintain clear communication regarding planned work, providing daily or as-needed status reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, mitigating risks and ensuring a safe working environment
  • Conduct site visits to assess readiness for medical equipment installation, providing feedback for necessary adjustments to ensure smooth deployment and operation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Business, or related field
  • Ability to work in a project driven environment

  • Act as regional escalation point and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Educate/train physicians and hospital personnel, including OR staff, Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical and Information Technologies staff, on the use of IGS products and services
  • Utilize expertise and customer’s feedback to provide plans to improve the quality improvement process
  • Act as primary customer liaison, maintaining and managing site visits and regular contact with customers, assessing satisfaction and usage levels, and working to increase revenue via the sale of service contracts, spare/wear parts, upgrades, etc.
  • Collaborate and strategize with the Account Managers in your region, evaluating customer situations, open sales projects, and identifying and referring sales leads
  • Leverage technical expertise to distribute knowledge throughout the team
  • Manage knowledge transfer of new developments regarding Brainlab and competitive IGS products and services via ongoing training and individual research and analysis

Work includes pulling cables (fiber and non-fiber), terminating cables, mounting hardware such as monitors and testing all cross-compatibility as per the scope of work for each project
  • Perform repairs and periodic maintenance on OR Integration and Ceiling-Mounted Image Guided-Surgery Products
  • Functions rely upon knowledge & experience of Healthcare Data Management, HIPAA, VNA/HIS/PACS Integration, IHE, DICOM, HL7, 4K & Video Routing & Medical Device Integration
