Job Responsibility:
Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities
Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements
Requirements:
Associate degree required (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in Biomedical Engineering Technology or degree in electronic engineering technology and related experience in repairs and troubleshooting of medical equipment or equivalent military or technical training
Minimum of three years of experience working in hospital Biomedical/Clinical Engineering department required (Five to eight years of experience preferred)
Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
ACI Certification preferred (CBET,CRES,CLES OR CHTM)
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patient
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree
Five to eight years of experience
ACI Certification (CBET,CRES,CLES OR CHTM)
