Job Responsibility

Design Standards - Works in conformity with company Plumbing CAD Standards and detailing practices
Software Proficiency - Possesses some knowledge and minimum experience using Revit, Navisworks or other modeling software to produce accurate production level drawing
Detailing Proficiency - Establishes drawings and document format required to complete job. Understands and complies with job specific scope and requirements. Verifies that all drawings are complete to a constructible state. Consistently reviews shop drawings to ensure quality and accuracy prior to distribution to the field
Communication Skills - Communicate effectively and keep open lines of communication with the BIM/VDC Manager and Plumbing Field Team. Communicate any outstanding job or departmental issues with the BIM/VDC Manager

Requirements

Strong knowledge of piping and plumbing systems, including process piping, hydronic systems, and domestic water, sanitary, and vent systems in commercial or mission-critical facilities
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Fabrication MEP, with working knowledge of Navisworks, and Bluebeam
Experience with BIM coordination, clash detection, and multi-trade model integration in high-density environments

Job Responsibility

Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models, shop drawings, and installation drawings for piping and plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit and Fabrication MEP
Produce coordinated, fabrication-ready models that support prefabrication, modularization, and field installation on fast-track, mission-critical projects
Collaborate with engineering, field operations, and multi-trade teams to ensure accurate system routing and constructability within a BIM/VDC environment
Participate in clash detection and coordination efforts, resolving conflicts in high-density piping layouts
Assist with project setup, model organization, and data management to support efficient BIM execution and downstream fabrication processes
Support projects through all phases—from design and coordination through construction and closeout—ensuring alignment with schedules and deliverables
Interface with fabrication shops and field teams to ensure models align with spool drawings, installation sequencing, and prefabrication strategies
