Bim Specialist - Fusion 360

Job Description

A BIM Specialist is recognized as having a strong understanding of Autodesk Fusion 360 and other design software used in the manufacturing industry—including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD/CAM tools. This role requires proven proficiency in 3D parametric modeling, product development, and manufacturing design workflows, with the ability to translate designs into fabrication-ready models and technical documentation.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop detailed electrical design drawings for low-voltage switchboards, controls, junction boxes, troughs, and bussed troughways
  • Use Autodesk Fusion 360 to create, modify, and manage 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings
  • Develop and optimize parametric designs for manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transition designs into production, including prototyping, testing, and fabrication support
  • Apply Fusion 360’s simulation and CAM tools to validate designs, optimize performance, and generate toolpaths
  • Produce technical documentation, including drawings and BOMs, to support manufacturing workflows
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product design, cost reduction, and process efficiency
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, and operations) to ensure designs meet safety, compliance, and quality standards

Requirements

  • At least two years of proven experience with Autodesk Fusion 360 and manufacturing design
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing design workflows, including parametric modeling, digital prototyping, and preparing models for fabrication
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English

Nice to have

Additional experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools is a plus
