Job Responsibility:
3D Modeling: Develop detailed 3D models of plumbing and fire protection systems using software like Autodesk Revit in accordance with project standards and Level of Development (LOD) requirements (typically LOD 300–500)
Clash Detection & Resolution: Use tools like Navisworks Manage to identify and resolve “clashes” where PHE elements intersect with other disciplines like HVAC, structural beams, or electrical trays
Documentation: Generate 2D construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation directly from the 3D BIM models
Coordination: Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure the PHE design is seamlessly integrated into the federated project model
Quantity Take-offs: Extract accurate material schedules and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from the model to assist with cost estimation
Content Creation: Develop and maintain project-specific “family” libraries for PHE components (e.g., specific pipe fittings, valves, or fixtures)
Taking responsibility for technical quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/ modifications
Proactively engaging with various Regional offices/ teams regarding safe design requirements, and flag risks at appropriate levels. Resolving issues and create strong relationships with project colleagues in the regions
Liaising with and assisting the design professional and BIM Manager
Adhere to the schedule and QA/QC requirements
Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines to mitigate design challenges

Follow organization Revit content standards and development procedures
Independent team player who can perform daily routine work and troubleshooting regarding Revit
Receives guidance or direction from other team members with limited discretion to vary from established procedures

Requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
5 years good working experience in Microstation and Raster files
Experience in BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360/ Autodesk Construction Cloud etc.
Knowledge of REVIT® is added advantage
General understanding of interoperability between software used to accomplish own discipline tasks
Demonstrated delivery acumen
Experience in civil drawings and BIM models for large scale projects related to Metro, Bridges, Road & Highway, Water and wastewater design, Pumping stations and other related structures
Experience of delivering civil drawings at all stages from concept through to final project and construction delivery
Produce 2D drawings for new or improved products using industry, departmental and discipline standards
Preparation of design input to Design Team and co-ordinate with other staff to prepare drawings
Liaison with other team members to produce good design solution as per best design practice
Keeping up-to-date with innovations and developments
Experience working in Infrastructure /Civil Structures projects
