The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems under a design and build NEC 3 Option C contract.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the process of managing and creating digital information
Ensure that information and data flows in a specific order according to standard BIM methodology
Establish and maintain BIM workflows / BIM execution plans (BEPs)
Manage the federated model process
Resolve any coordination issues that may arise
Manage/mentor a small team
Utilise Bentley ProjectWise with OpenBuilding Designer, and MicroStation for detailed 3D CAD model creation and documentation
Ensure models are fully coordinated using clash avoidance tools
Produce model geometry and information in line with the Component Catalogue and BIM Execution Plan
Ensure all models meet project requirements and systems are in place for clash avoidance, internal model audits and clash detection
Assist in maintenance of ProjectWise Common Data Environment
Participate in quality assurance checks
Monitor compliance with BEP and project standards
Work closely with other disciplines for integration and coordination
Provide technical support on BIM-related issues
Management of a small team including BIM Modellers, CAD Technicians/Apprentices
Take lead role in managing project BIM design sub-team and technical aspects
Plan and co-ordinate activities of BIM/Digital sub-team
Support management team in Client meetings
Review design documentation for compliance
Coordinate Quality aspects of sub-systems deliverables
Produce/review digital/BIM deliverables
Support and develop competency of sub-team
Requirements:
6-8 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions, with at least 2 years’ experience as a BIM Coordinator in major infrastructure/transportation projects
Excellent communication skills in digital management
Persistence, attention to detail, and sound judgement
Effective time management and flexibility
Ambition to lead and mentor a sub-team of BIM and IM specialists
Capability to manage project timescales and advise on resource requirements
Experience with data management and integration tools
Excellent understanding of all relevant BIM standards, design integration procedures and relevant legislation
Experience of using: Bentley ProjectWise

Nice to have:
BSc or similar in Bachelor Degree (BEng, BSc) in a Numerate, Scientific or Engineering subject or Higher Education/equivalent training and experience
Chartered Engineer/Technician membership or working towards an equivalent professional status from a recognised institution
Knowledge and understanding of rail engineering, including Network Rail and associated rail standards, and related regulations (CDM, CSM, RIR)
Knowledge of UK design standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfL
Knowledge of railway infrastructure, systems, and operating requirements
Knowledge of quality assurance
Experience of working with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams
Knowledge in producing BEPs, Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP), Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP) and Model Production Delivery Tables (MPDT)
