The Fire BIM Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, quality, and timely delivery of fire engineering digital information across all project stages. Working closely with Fire Engineers, BIM Managers, and multidisciplinary design teams, the role ensures that fire models, drawings, and data accurately reflect the approved fire strategy and comply with project BIM standards, programme requirements, and information exchange milestones. The role has a strong technical focus, utilising OpenBuildings Designer, Bentley Raceway, Bentley iTwins, and ProjectWise to manage fire discipline models, digital assets, and information flows within a federated BIM environment.

Act as the primary point of contact for fire-related BIM coordination issues
Manage, review, and update fire engineering 3D models using OpenBuildings Designer and Bentley Raceway
Ensure accurate modelling of fire strategy elements including compartmentation, fire stopping, dampers, penetration seals, smoke control interfaces, signage, and life-safety systems
Oversee the production and coordination of 2D fire drawings derived from the federated models
Carry out regular model reviews and coordination checks using Bentley iTwins
Identify, report, and assist in resolving clashes and interface issues with architectural, MEP, and structural disciplines
Ensure fire models remain coordinated with the latest architectural layouts and MEP systems
Maintain model integrity and data consistency across design iterations
Develop, manage, and maintain fire component and item-type libraries within OpenBuildings
Ensure fire components are standardised, data-rich, and suitable for IFC, data drops, and downstream use
Control approval and versioning of fire digital assets
Allocate and oversee fire modellers' tasks to align with the project programme
Monitor progress against deliverables, identifying risks to deadlines early
Provide technical BIM support and guidance to fire modelling staff
Carry out QA checks on models and drawings prior to submission

Support project data exchanges, MPDT inputs, and formal information releases
Ensure accurate, approved fire information is issued at each project stage
Ensure all fire BIM outputs accurately reflect the approved fire strategy and design intent
Coordinate updates resulting from fire authority comments, design changes, or site feedback
Support internal and external fire design reviews using coordinated BIM outputs
Participate in BIM coordination and design team meetings
Communicate fire BIM risks, constraints, and changes clearly to project stakeholders
Support construction-stage coordination, technical queries, and model updates where required
