Job Description:

As a large and well established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Billing Support Analyst to join their team on a 6 months temporary basis (subject to extension). The role is to be based in the Macquarie Park NSW 2113 Sydney office. There will be 2 days work from home flexibility and on-street parking available. This main focus is to proactively identify and resolve billing errors and anomalies to minimize impact on customers as well as business units.

Job Responsibility:

  • Investigation of billing errors - analyzing and resolving bill-related errors, assess customer impact and provide subject matter expertise to identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Perform daily production activities to maintain data accuracy within billing systems, ensuring correct and timely customer billing
  • Act as a second-level escalation point for complex billing queries received from other business team
  • Conduct checks on new rate plans and market offers to ensure accurate configuration and billing integrity
  • Monitor data trends and system controls to detect and prevent potential billing issues before they impact customers—or limit impact
  • Maintain strong reconciliation controls across systems, identify inconsistencies, and implement corrective updates
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification Accounting/Business/IT related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years experience in a similar role - within telecommunications or similar technically based industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed analytical and numerical skills
  • Worked across high volume and operational environments
  • Must have some basic exposure to Oracle SQL queries
  • Able to work independently and proactive
