We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Supervisor/Manager to oversee billing operations and revenue cycle management. This contract position, based in Edgewater, Maryland, requires a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. The role involves ensuring timely reimbursements, maintaining regulatory standards, and fostering collaboration within a team environment.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the generation and submission of claims for services provided, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances to optimize collections
Prepare monthly financial closings and reconcile payments with general ledger accounts
Lead or advise on revenue cycle management initiatives to improve reimbursement accuracy and efficiency
Ensure compliance with authorization requirements, client intake procedures, and provider credentialing
Address claim denials and reimbursement issues, implementing solutions to maximize revenue
Assist in annual audits and contribute to the preparation of organizational budgets
Create and maintain reports for monthly closings and authorization lists
Post and allocate payments manually, ensuring alignment with billing regulations
Collaborate with team members, attend relevant meetings, and stay updated on billing and regulatory changes
Requirements:
Proven experience in medical billing, including managing complex calculations and payment processes
Strong knowledge of billing functions and provider network protocols
Proficiency in computer systems and billing software
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills
Familiarity with compliance standards related to authorization, credentialing, and reimbursement
Capacity to handle multiple tasks and interruptions while maintaining professionalism
