Billing Specialist

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices based on services rendered and agreements in place
• Verify billing information, including rates, hours, and contract terms, to ensure accuracy before finalizing invoices
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of client and vendor accounts
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to address billing inquiries or adjustments
• Reconcile accounts receivable and payable to ensure payments are processed promptly
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including generating and approving invoices
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
• Safeguard sensitive billing and account information while adhering to confidentiality protocols

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail
• At least two years of experience in billing, invoicing, or AR/AP management within a service-oriented industry
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Dynamics is preferred
• Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on providing top-notch customer service

Familiarity with medical or legal billing terminology is advantageous
