Billing Specialist

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices to clients on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines
• Collaborate with account managers to verify costs, shipping charges, and billing periods for invoicing
• Analyze cost sheets and financial data to determine billing percentages and summarize figures for the General Ledger
• Manage billing backups and maintain organized records for audits and reporting
• Conduct research to identify discrepancies in costs and billing, resolving issues as needed
• Process advances, credits, and rebillings in alignment with company policies
• Attend client meetings to discuss billing matters and maintain strong client relationships
• Streamline billing workflows for existing accounts to improve efficiency
• Prepare tax line items on invoices and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Handle multiple tasks and projects effectively, prioritizing deadlines and client needs

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or billing role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with intermediate to advanced skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain attention to detail
• Associate degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to analyze financial data effectively
