Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team in Costa Mesa, California. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity where you'll play a critical role in managing billing processes and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining precise records while collaborating effectively with various departments.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the complete billing cycle, including invoice creation, review, and distribution
  • Validate contract details, pricing, and related documentation before issuing invoices
  • Process large volumes of invoices efficiently and within specified timeframes
  • Post payments, apply credits, and update customer account information accurately
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue balances
  • Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and payment issues
  • Perform account, bank, and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with month-end closing by preparing detailed billing reports, revenue summaries, and journal entries
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to maintain billing accuracy and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing or related financial roles
  • Proficiency in computerized billing systems and processes
  • Strong understanding of billing functions, collections, and account reconciliation
  • Ability to process high volumes of invoices with accuracy and efficiency
  • Familiarity with preparing billing statements and posting payments
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards
  • Competence in resolving discrepancies and maintaining precise records
