The Billing Operations Specialist is responsible for operating Billing Assurance controls across the Equinox (Amdocs) platform. Protecting and driving timely, accurate and clear billing processes.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor & assure VF Ireland’s billing streams using best practice billing methods across the Equinox post-paid billing platform (e.g. Invoice Quality Assurance, reconciliations, detailed deep dive/data analysis, risk assessments & process reviews)
Design, develop and operate Billing Assurance controls to provide assurance of completeness, timeliness and accuracy over Vodafone Ireland’s Billing Processes
Initiate & drive appropriate corrective action liaising with other departments and 3rd parties to resolve billing and customer impacting issues)
Influence the business to learn from issues identified in the past to avoid repeat occurrences
Have strong analytical capabilities to investigate the root cause of anomalies detected as well as the ability to foster cross-functional working relationships to ensure end to end follow up on issues identified
Work with cross-functional project teams to deliver new products and services minimising the impact on customers and billing)
Carry out reviews & risk assessments of key processes that support VF’s billing to identify improvement opportunities and prioritise Billing activities
Drive continuous improvements in Billing efficiencies whilst advocating a positive Billing experience and NPS for all customers
Ensure Billing compliance with end-to-end controls and audit recommendations
Monitor and manage the performance of VF’s tariff estate
Understand the complexity of the tariff model and how these match to the system capabilities and limitations
Develop and implement new reports, measures and analysis to support the Billing function ensuring that processes are extended to cover new products & services
Drive the Billing strategy and realise improvements by enhancing and automating routine processes and reporting
Deliver effective Stakeholder Management and communications
Perform ad-hoc requests as required e.g. analysis requests, impact assessments, Billing activities
Develop, maintain and publish Key Performance Indicators to measure the completeness accuracy and timeliness of Vodafone Irelands billing processes
Requirements:
3 years’ experience in a Telecommunications Environment
Understanding and have knowledge of telecommunications technologies
Background in Billing, Billing Assurance, Order Operations or Customer Experience
Billing or Billing Assurance experience
Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships at all levels within the business
Experience working within a control environment and have process and governance focus
Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail & high levels of accuracy critical in all aspects of the role
Highly motivated and a strong passion for identifying issues, investigating and driving them through to resolution
Results driven, with strong focus on delivery & time management
Proven experience of analysing high volume transactional data
Excellent communication skills
Nice to have:
Experience in a multinational telecoms company
Experience with Amdocs/EVO(SAP)/Nokia Platforms
Good financial awareness
Knowledge of data mining and statistics
