We are looking for a Billing Follow Up Associate to join our team in Roseville, California. In this role, you will focus on ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes while communicating with various stakeholders, including patients, government agencies, and third-party payers. This is a Contract position, ideal for professionals with experience in medical billing and collections who thrive in a structured, goal-oriented environment.
Job Responsibility:
Communicate effectively with patients, government agencies, and third-party payers to gather necessary information for reimbursement
Review, correct, and submit claims to payers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guidelines
Follow up on unpaid accounts by initiating appropriate collection actions and monitoring progress to achieve desired outcomes
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve claim issues, including charge information and coding updates
Calculate adjustments for write-offs and debit/credit transactions as needed
Prepare billing and collection documentation for distribution to relevant parties
Monitor productivity and quality metrics to meet or exceed performance expectations
Provide general office support and assist with additional responsibilities as assigned
Address denied claims by initiating appeals and ensuring proper follow-up procedures are executed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
an Associate’s or Technical Degree is preferred
Previous experience in medical billing and collections is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of procedures related to claim administration, adjustments, and reimbursements
Familiarity with coding practices and third-party payer systems
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients and agencies
Proficiency in calculating write-offs and performing debit/credit adjustments
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet productivity and quality standards
Commitment to comply with vaccination requirements and organizational policies
