We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support daily billing and data management activities for a service organization in Monmouth, New Jersey. This part time contract position has the potential to become permanent and is well suited for someone who is highly accurate, comfortable working with spreadsheets, and able to keep financial information organized. The person in this role will contribute to efficient billing operations by maintaining records, entering data, and helping ensure information is complete and reliable.
Job Responsibility
Enter billing and related financial information into Excel spreadsheets with a high level of accuracy
Maintain organized electronic records to support billing activities and ongoing bookkeeping tasks
Review spreadsheet data for completeness and identify discrepancies that require correction
Update billing details in a timely manner to help keep account information current
Assist with routine clerical support connected to invoicing, recordkeeping, and data tracking
Work with internal team members to confirm billing information and resolve data inconsistencies
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in a billing, bookkeeping, or closely related administrative role
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including strong spreadsheet data entry skills
High attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numeric information
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage records efficiently
Good written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with team members
Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
