Billing Clerk

• Prepare and organize billing packages, ensuring all required supporting documents such as labor reports, material invoices, and subcontractor records are included
• Review invoices for compliance with client billing guidelines and verify accuracy before submission
• Submit invoices through company and client systems, adhering to established procedures
• Monitor and validate electronic time reports weekly to ensure payroll and billing accuracy
• Upload required documentation into client platforms to facilitate timely payments
• Collaborate with project managers to review and finalize invoice details
• Follow up with clients to ensure payments are received on time and maintain accounts receivable aging reports
• Respond promptly to audit requests from both internal teams and external customers
• Assist with project cost analysis and support pricing for additional work using company systems
• Compile and distribute weekly productivity reports and metrics related to commercial projects

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in billing, preferably within the construction industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, though a solid understanding of accounting principles is essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• familiarity with project management or accounting systems is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
• Knowledge of billing functions, including billing collections, statements, and computerized systems
• Ability to develop and apply project-specific labor billing rates while ensuring accuracy in deductions and markups
