We are seeking a Billing Clerk in the Perth Amboy, NJ area. This role is responsible for project-based billing, including AIA billing, reviewing cost documentation, and preparing and processing invoices.
Job Responsibility:
Handle different types of billing, including progress billing, time-and-material billing, and AIA billing
Review labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to confirm correct billable amounts
Track billing schedules, monitor outstanding invoices, and follow up on collections as needed
Support month-end billing and accounts receivable activities by preparing records and reviewing open items for close
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in billing and invoicing
Familiarity with AIA billing, AIA documents, and construction accounting practices
Hands-on knowledge of billing functions, billing statements, and collection follow-up processes
Experience using computerized billing systems to enter, track, and maintain invoice records
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
