Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This role is essential to ensuring accurate billing processes and supporting accounts payable operations in a legal environment. The ideal candidate will bring proficiency in ProLaw and a proactive approach to handling diverse tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency
Perform billing functions, ensuring timely and precise invoicing
Utilize ProLaw software to execute billing and related tasks effectively
Collaborate with team members to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Handle ad hoc assignments to support the department's operational needs
Maintain organized records and documentation for all billing activities
Ensure compliance with legal billing standards and practices
Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders to address billing matters

Requirements:

Proven experience in billing, preferably within a legal setting
Familiarity with ProLaw software is required
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Entry to mid-level experience in billing roles
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
