Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will manage voucher billing, social enterprise billing, and specialized billing processes across various program areas. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial systems and a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and submit billing through designated platforms for services rendered
Generate and process social enterprise and specialized program billing as required
Record revenue from billing activities in the accounting system with precision
Collaborate with the manager to enhance reimbursement processes for grants
Monitor accounts receivable balances and coordinate with payers and clients to resolve outstanding payments
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with billing regulations
Maintain organized billing records in accordance with the company’s retention policies
Serve as a backup for other billing functions when needed
Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on billing laws, policies, and best practices

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of medical billing, cost reimbursement systems, and payment procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze account discrepancies and recommend solutions
Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities with accuracy
Effective teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to align with the organization’s mission and maintain confidentiality
Reliable transportation and the ability to pass required background checks and registry screenings
