We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in South Gate, California. This position offers a Contract to permanent opportunity within the industrial sector, providing a chance to grow professionally while contributing to essential financial operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in billing and a strong ability to manage and organize financial data accurately.
Job Responsibility:
Process and prepare invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Verify billing data for completeness and ensure all necessary information is included
Communicate with clients and internal teams to resolve any billing discrepancies
Maintain organized records of all transactions for auditing and reporting purposes
Update and manage billing systems to reflect current account statuses
Generate reports on billing activities and provide insights to management
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations
Assist with month-end closing procedures related to billing
Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments
Identify and implement improvements in the billing process for increased efficiency
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a billing or similar financial role
Proficiency in billing software and tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
Excellent communication skills for resolving discrepancies and liaising with clients
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Solid organizational skills to maintain accurate transaction records
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Nice to have:
Familiarity with industrial sector billing practices is a plus
