Job Description:

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position within the healthcare industry, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes while collaborating with branch staff and internal departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with medical billing experience who thrive in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Enter and process paperwork received from assigned branches to support billing operations
  • Provide constructive feedback to branches regarding the accuracy and timeliness of submitted documentation
  • Review and manage daily billing work queues for assigned branches to ensure smooth operations
  • Track and analyze billing reports to maintain accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate closely with the Billing Manager and team members to facilitate effective communication
  • Assist with departmental projects, including updates to customer pricing and sales personnel information
  • Interact with accounts receivable, credit/collections, and branch staff to address billing concerns
  • Verify invoice details such as pricing, customer information, equipment data, tax information, quantities, billing periods, and comments
  • Meet critical deadlines for month-end billing activities and other departmental responsibilities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the billing department

Requirements:

  • At least five years of complex high-volume billing is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in data entry, customer service, and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage high volumes of paperwork while handling interruptions and meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Strong understanding of billing functions, accounts receivable, and pricing adjustments
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with contracting and pricing for healthcare equipment rentals or sales is a plus
  • Prior experience with Enfinity billing systems is advantageous but not mandatory
