Billing Clerk

• Process and manage billing transactions accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Maintain and update accounts receivable records, ensuring all data is current and precise
• Address customer inquiries and concerns related to billing, providing clear and thorough communication
• Input and verify data in the billing system, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to generate reports, analyze data, and support billing operations
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve billing processes
• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, implementing collection procedures when necessary
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal policies related to billing
• Assist in preparing financial documents and summaries as needed
• Support additional administrative tasks related to billing and accounts receivable

• Proven experience in billing and collections processes
• Strong proficiency in managing accounts receivable functions
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to address inquiries effectively
• Accurate and efficient data entry capabilities
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Familiarity with government regulations related to billing is a plus
