Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient records. This position requires a strong understanding of billing systems and procedures, as well as excellent organizational skills.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare, review, and process invoices for accuracy and completeness
Manage billing collection activities, including following up on outstanding payments
Generate and distribute billing statements to clients in a timely manner
Maintain and update computerized billing systems to ensure accurate records
Address and resolve billing discrepancies or customer inquiries
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and data accuracy
Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate follow-up actions
Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing activities
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all billing processes

Requirements:

Proven experience in billing or a related administrative role
Familiarity with billing systems and procedures, including computerized billing software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
Proficiency in using standard office software, including spreadsheets and databases
