Job Description:

Detail-oriented Billing Clerk position in Forest Hills, New York. Long-term contract position within the healthcare sector, offering an opportunity to contribute to essential billing operations.

Job Responsibility:

Process billing statements and invoices with accuracy and efficiency
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and organizational guidelines
Maintain and update patient billing information in the electronic medical records (EMR) system
Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
Generate reports related to billing activities for internal review
Provide support in auditing and reconciling billing records
Respond to inquiries from patients and insurance providers regarding billing issues

Requirements:

Proven experience in billing or a related role within the healthcare industry
Proficiency in handling electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume tasks
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance providers, and team members
