Job Description

Circle Business Services is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Billing Associate to join their team of staff. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Job Responsibility

  • Produce accurate and timely invoices for patients, consultants, insurers and NHS organisations in accordance with contractual agreements and organisational policies
  • Ensure invoices are processed correctly, applying agreed charging structures, tariffs and billing rules
  • Review and verify billing information to ensure accuracy before invoices are issued
  • Process invoice amendments, adjustments and credit notes where appropriate
  • Monitor billing activities to ensure service level agreements and billing deadlines are consistently achieved
  • Support accurate revenue recognition through timely and compliant billing processes

Requirements

  • Experience working in a finance, billing, accounts receivable, customer service or business services environment
  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage queries professionally and effectively
  • Good technology skills, including experience using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
  • Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working within healthcare, private healthcare or NHS finance environments
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing processes, NHS contracts or private medical insurance billing
  • Experience using financial management or patient administration systems
  • Understanding of invoice production, exception reporting and query resolution processes
  • Knowledge of data protection, confidentiality and financial governance requirements
  • Experience supporting process improvement or finance transformation initiatives
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic reporting and data analysis
