Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting accurate and efficient billing operations while maintaining organized financial records. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with numbers and systems.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and issue customer invoices with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies
Maintain and organize billing records to ensure proper documentation of all transactions
Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and address customer inquiries
Support the enhancement of billing processes and systems to improve efficiency
Assist with monthly and weekly billing cycles, including updates to purchase orders and taxable/non-taxable addresses
Contribute to month-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting
Utilize Excel tools such as pivot tables and formulas to streamline billing tasks

Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas
Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and basic billing functions
Previous experience in billing or related roles is preferred
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Comfortable with business casual attire and onsite work schedule
Willingness to occasionally work from home as needed
