As our programmes continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Billing & Validation Manager to lead our billing operations and revenue assurance activities. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll oversee the end-to-end billing and validation function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely revenue recognition while driving continuous improvement across processes, systems, and team performance.
Job Responsibility
Lead the billing and validation team to deliver against business objectives and service level agreements
Oversee the end-to-end billing process, from work order validation through to invoicing
Manage WIP, exceptions, DFEs, adjustments and revenue risks to support healthy cash flow
Ensure billing activities comply with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements
Produce and analyse reporting on billing performance, revenue, WIP and operational trends
Lead weekly finance and operational reviews to drive billing conversion and reduce aged revenue
Build effective relationships with internal teams, clients, auditors and key stakeholders
Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and system enhancements
Maintain robust financial controls, governance standards and audit readiness
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Experience leading billing, revenue, finance or shared service functions
Strong understanding of invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP management, exceptions and financial controls
Proven experience managing and developing teams within a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using Sage and/or ERP systems
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving abilities
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance operational and financial priorities
A proactive, improvement-focused approach with a passion for delivering results
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience
Fluent English.
