Reporting to the Billing & Collections Manager, the Billing and Collections Analyst ensures customers are billed accurately, revenue is protected, and collections activity is tightly managed across the contract lifecycle. Working closely with Billing Operations, Margin Max, Finance, Commercial, Technology and Customer Delivery teams, the role provides essential support in resolving billing issues, preventing revenue leakage, and ensuring compliance with contractual charging mechanisms. You will analyse financial and billing data, identify risks, and drive improvements to billing processes, controls and data quality.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure billing accuracy across assigned customer accounts by validating completeness, correctness, and compliance with contractual charging mechanisms
Support the resolution of billing issues and revenue leakage
Manage billing changes—including tariff adjustments, rate updates, migrations and system changes—ensuring proper controls, approvals and validations
Assist with the improvement of collections performance, working with Collections teams to reduce aged debt, drive proactive remediation, and minimise debtor exposure
Help with margin assurance reviews, assessing contract performance, validating cost‑to‑serve assumptions, and identifying opportunities to improve margin
Provide guidance on billing, collections and charging matters, supporting internal stakeholders and handling customer billing queries
Requirements:
Experience in Billing, Collections, Revenue Assurance or Margin Assurance (5+ years)
Strong knowledge of billing systems and controls (e.g., Kenan, ERP/SAP)
Proven ability to analyse complex financial/billing data and identify revenue or margin risks
Skilled in resolving billing‑related customer queries
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with clear, actionable output
Good understanding of commercial contracts, pricing and tariffs
Ability to improve, document and strengthen billing and collections processes
Must hold or be eligible for DV Clearance
