We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, maintaining billing records, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, proficiency in billing systems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and process invoices and credit memos accurately and in a timely manner
Input billing data into the system while ensuring compliance with organizational standards
Address customer inquiries promptly and manage requests efficiently
Verify data accuracy between source systems and the billing platform to prevent errors
Organize and maintain billing statements and payment details received from external sources
Investigate customer disputes and variances related to pricing or service generation
Collaborate with the accounting team to share updates on pending issues or investigations
Support the Revenue Manager and Director of Revenue Accounting with ad-hoc tasks as needed
Ensure adherence to internal controls and organizational billing requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-4 years of hands-on experience in billing or a related area
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting and billing software
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work reliably and professionally
Effective interpersonal skills to interact with customers, auditors, and team members
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, data analysis expertise, and multitasking skills
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and internal control best practices
