We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in managing client invoicing, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting financial operations. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvements that enhance billing efficiency and client satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, review, and submit invoices in compliance with company guidelines, client agreements, and jurisdictional standards
Reconcile billing data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy, resolving discrepancies in collaboration with Finance and Client Services teams
Set up and maintain client billing profiles, including rate structures, matter codes, and specific billing instructions
Provide necessary billing data and reports to support month-end and year-end close processes
Collaborate with Finance, Legal Operations, and Client Services teams to ensure alignment of billing practices with organizational priorities
Assist in training and onboarding new team members and system users, ensuring proper understanding of billing procedures
Work with Technology teams to support system enhancements, integrations, and data quality improvement initiatives
Document billing processes and client-specific requirements to maintain compliance and operational consistency
Generate billing-related reports and dashboards to support financial analysis and decision-making
Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing billing workflows and enhancing client satisfaction
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
Proven experience in billing or finance operations, preferably within a detail-oriented services or legal environment
Solid understanding of invoicing systems, billing processes, and financial reconciliation methods
Familiarity with financial platforms and tools such as Aderant, Elite, or NetSuite
Proficiency in billing functions and accounts receivable processes
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in billing and financial operations
