Biliteracy Instructional Coach

• Support implementation of data driven instruction as part of the school improvement work
• Support the work of educators to improve their effectiveness at closing the achievement gap and improving outcomes for students across the district
• Support teachers in managing READ Plans and implementing research-based intervention strategies
• Encourage, coach, and monitor data driven instruction in collaboration with the Principal
• Support the network teams to connect with schools
• Identify best practices to increase data driven instruction for teachers
• Meet and plan with teachers to promote data driven instruction
• Attend and/or plan professional development activities
• Work with district supervisors and school improvement teams to assist in accomplishing goals, objectives, and activities indicated on Unified Improvement Plan (UIP)
• Work with content area and classroom teachers to research and develop related standards based classroom assessments and communicate information aligned to the strategic plan
• Builds internal capacity of school personnel and school leadership teams to become effective users of data
• Assist school with analyzing summative school data and plan for improvement using strengths and opportunities
• Assist teachers and administrators with using formative assessment data in classroom instruction

• Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or have licensure application in process with appropriate endorsement in a Elementary or Secondary Education
• Minimum of three years experience working with student data analysis
• Communicate (read, write and speak) in English
• Completed and submitted BVSD online application
• The READ Act SB 19-199 (PDF) and SB22-004 (PDF) requires that all Colorado teachers who provide literacy instruction to students must earn a “READ Act Designation” by meeting specific requirements. If you are hired for a position requiring the READ Act Designation, you will be required to obtain it
• Proficient in the use of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc) and other applications appropriate to the job
• Bilingual English/Spanish
