Bilingual Teacher (Reading and Writing) (Spanish to English) - Location: Charter School Milwaukee, WI | Education Full Time: 10-month Contract FLSA Status: Salaried, Overtime Ineligible La Causa, Inc. Charter School is committed to providing high-quality, inclusive, and engaging instruction that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Spanish Speaking and student-centered Teacher (7th-8th grade) for Reading and Writing to join our team. In this role, you will design and deliver rigorous, standard-based instruction while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment that supports student success.

Job Responsibility

Prepare and implement lesson plans aligned with Common Core Standards and curriculum in Spanish
Administer formal and informal assessments and use data to guide instruction and differentiation
Collaborate with grade-level teams, Special Education staff, ESL staff, and administrators to support student learning
Ensure instruction reflects best practices for English Language Learners (ELL/ESL) when applicable
Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership
Attend required meetings, training sessions, and professional development sessions
Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities in accordance with laws and policies
Contribute as a collaborative and supportive team member
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution
Valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license in applicable area or ability to obtain a License with Stipulation (Emergency License)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required for bilingual positions (Spanish Language)
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Must successfully pass all required background checks
