Job Description

A respected plumbing and mechanical contractor is seeking a Bilingual Safety Coordinator to support multiple active job sites throughout North County San Diego. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about workplace safety, enjoys working directly with field employees, and understands the importance of maintaining compliance in a construction environment. You'll partner closely with project managers, field supervisors, and leadership to help strengthen the company's safety culture while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct routine field safety inspections and jobsite audits
  • Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks in both English and Spanish
  • Investigate incidents and assist with corrective action plans
  • Maintain OSHA logs, safety documentation, and training records
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and safety performance
  • Educate employees on company safety procedures and best practices
  • Coordinate required certifications and ongoing safety training
  • Support workers' compensation documentation and reporting
  • Assist with safety committee meetings and compliance initiatives

Requirements

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • 2–3 years of construction or field safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • CHST or other safety certifications are a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience within plumbing, mechanical, or commercial construction preferred
