Job Description

Moving is one of life’s most significant stressors, but for the members of the Canadian Armed Forces, it is a frequent reality of their service to our country. As a Relocation Advisor, you aren't just processing paperwork; you are the Strategic Partner and primary anchor for these families. You are the person who turns a complex, high-stakes logistical challenge into a seamless, supportive journey, ensuring those who serve us are taken care of at home. This is a career-defining opportunity to join a cornerstone of the Relocation & Logistics sector. We provide the stability of a professional office environment combined with a mission-driven culture. If you are a fast learner who thrives on helping others navigate complex information with empathy and precision, you belong on our team. Hourly Rate: $21.63/hour Schedule: Monday to Friday. Monthly rotational shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Paid Training: 3 weeks (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Contract Type: Full-time, temporary with the possibility of permanent transition. Location: Ottawa, easily accessible by public transit (paid parking available). Advantages A stable hourly rate of $21.63. ... Directly support Canadian Armed Forces members and their families during major life transitions. Deep-dive training into the CAFRD directive—an industry-recognized expertise. Work onsite in a central, high-energy office where teamwork is the standard, not the exception. A comprehensive 4-week onboarding program designed to make you an expert before you take your first solo call. Consistent Monday to Friday scheduling with no weekend requirements. Responsibilities Act as the dedicated point of contact across phone, email, chat, and video, providing a warm and professional experience for every relocating member. Lead virtual consultations to map out relocation journeys, proactively addressing complex challenges and clarifying policies to ensure peace of mind. Manage the financial integrity of the move by reviewing, validating, and processing expense claims and advance requests with high accuracy. Navigate and interpret the Canadian Forces Relocation Directive (CAFRD). You will be the expert voice translating complex policy into actionable advice. Qualifications Exceptional oral and written proficiency in both French and English is mandatory. You must be able to explain complex financial directives clearly in both languages. To meet federal government security standards, you must have maintained continuous residency in Canada for the past 5 years (since March 2021). At least 1 year in a high-volume call center, hospitality, or administrative role where multitasking and empathy were key. High computer literacy. You are comfortable navigating up to 4 different systems simultaneously while engaging with a client. Ability to maintain high productivity and rigorous attention to detail during peak relocation seasons. Summary We are looking for dedicated professionals who are ready to commit to a rigorous training program and a rewarding mission. If you have the empathy to support a family in transition and the intellect to master complex directives, we want to meet you.
