Job Responsibility
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Portuguese, aligned with the Primary bilingual curriculum, ensuring progression in students’ learning
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development
Assess, monitor, and record student progress, using data to inform planning and differentiated instruction
Support the development of critical thinking, independence, and a love of learning in all students
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing
Collaborate with English-speaking teaching partners to ensure a cohesive bilingual experience
Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour
Requirements
A recognised teaching qualification (Habilitação Própria) with experience teaching Primary students
Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese and a high level of English proficiency for professional collaboration
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons within a bilingual framework
A commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive teaching practices
A collaborative and proactive professional attitude, with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
