We are partnering with a respected nonprofit healthcare organization in Chattanooga to identify a Bilingual Medical Front Desk Receptionist who is passionate about patient care and community impact. Job Responsibility:
Greet patients and families warmly and professionally, serving as the first point of contact
Verify patient insurance coverage and collect required documentation during check-in
Collect co-payments and accurately document financial transactions
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to support smooth clinic operations
Address patient questions and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity
Maintain and update patient records while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems to input and retrieve patient information
Use Microsoft Office and internal systems to support daily administrative tasks
Apply knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices to assist patients effectively
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to maintain an organized, welcoming environment
Requirements:
Fluency in English and Spanish (required)
Previous experience in a medical front office or healthcare administrative role preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience with insurance verification, scheduling, and co-pay collection
Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures is necessary
Intermediate proficiency in Office applications, including Word and Excel
Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Experience in medical front office operations and patient check-in is preferred
