Job Description

Full-time Bilingual Medical Assistant position at Atrium Health Women's Care Piedmont OB/GYN. Schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30a-4:30p or 8a-5p. This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible.

Job Responsibility

  • Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice
  • Performs rooming/visit tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history
  • Assists provider with or performs procedures as ordered
  • Performs lab related duties such as venipuncture, specimen collection
  • Administers medications and vaccines safely
  • Performs other duties as assigned such as medication refills, insurance authorizations
  • Demonstrates effective and timely communication, teamwork, and appropriate escalation
  • Maintains a clean work environment
  • May assist with training and onboarding of other teammates
  • May serve as a role champion or on a committee
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training per DD214
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
  • Recognized or certified as a CMA or RMA by a National Organization
  • Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant
  • Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Demonstrates customer service skills
  • Must meet physical requirements (sitting, standing, walking, lifting, etc.)
