Job Description:

We are seeking motivated, bilingual (French/English) Dispatchers with LTL experience to join our dynamic transportation team in Lachine. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods, managing driver schedules, and communicating with both drivers and customers. Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.

Job Responsibility:

Dispatch drivers to various locations based on transportation requirements
Ensure the efficient scheduling and coordination of shipments
Communicate with drivers to provide updates, changes, and route adjustments
Monitor the progress of deliveries to ensure on-time performance
Address and resolve any operational issues or delays as they arise
Maintain accurate records of driver activities and delivery statuses
Provide timely updates to customers regarding delivery schedules
Handle incoming calls and emails from drivers and customers
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards
Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving to prevent delays

Requirements:

English and French (verbal & written) required due to constant communication with drivers and employees across a national territory
Experience with LTL shipping
High school diploma or equivalent
a certificate or diploma in business, business administration, or accounting is preferred
Previous experience in dispatch or transportation is an asset
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
