Our nonprofit organization is seeking a skilled and empathetic Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our call center team. As the first point of contact for individuals in need of assistance, you will deliver exceptional customer support in both English and Spanish, helping callers access vital resources within the community.
Job Responsibility:
Answer inbound calls from clients in both English and Spanish, providing information and guidance about available services and support programs
Listen actively to understand and assess the needs of callers, offering personalized referrals to nonprofit and community resources
Document call interactions and referral details accurately in organizational systems
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures
Participate in training and ongoing development to stay informed about resources and call center best practices
Collaborate with team members to ensure positive outcomes for callers and maintain a high level of service
Handle sensitive situations with empathy and escalate cases when necessary
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
coursework in social services or related field preferred
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required
Previous customer service or call center experience, ideally in a nonprofit or social services environment
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new systems
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all client interactions
