Job Description:

The Apps Sup Tech Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise.

Job Responsibility:

Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions
Identify and define necessary system enhancements
Analyze existing system logic, identify problems
Recommend and implement solutions
Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex application enhancements
Document requirements
Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts
Identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues
Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking
Lead incident response lifecycle including detection, triage, mitigation, resolution
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
Define and track Service Level Indicators and Objectives
Ensure compliance with SRE best practices
Implement change management processes
Participate in on-call rotations including weekend coverage
Lead COB tests
Supervise production team members

Requirements:

6-10 years experience
Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
Service oriented attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience working or leading requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects at one-time
Proficient using basic technical tools and systems
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
UNIX/Linux skills
Advanced Scripting, automation, debugging
OS/Administration Certifications preferred
SQL/ORACLE/SYBASE advanced query writing and debugging
Data Analytics and Reporting Abilities
Programming Languages familiarity - SHELL SCRIPTING, Perl scripting, C or C++, C#, .Net, Java, HTML5
Minimum 4-5 years' hands-on experience in above skills
Working knowledge of Cloudera distribution components (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, YARN, Sentry, Oozie, Kafka)
Performance tuning, capacity planning, investigating bottlenecks
Experience in Technical Production Support roles
Experience in high availability/critical environment
Experience in incident response lifecycle
Monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
SRE best practices
ITIL standard methodologies
Change and Release Management experience
Production monitoring capabilities

Nice to have:

Master's degree
Production support experience in wealth management application domains
Experience with Diagnostics and Analytical tools like HP Diagnostics, ITRS
Automated Deployment tools like uDeploy
Experience dealing with Vendor Application Teams
